Cointelegraph/TradingView reported today that Visa and Artemis believe the AI agent economy still faces an infrastructure gap. The issue isn’t just whether payments can be made, but who is responsible, who arbitrates, and who bears the cost of erroneous transactions.
This is more realistic than “will AI use stablecoins?”
If an AI agent buys the wrong service, or is tricked into making a payment, who is responsible? The user, the platform, the wallet, or the AI model?
The anxiety is here: machines can trade automatically, but the law and risk controls aren’t ready yet.
Crypto fairytale observer:
An AI agent isn’t without money to spend—it's just that when it spends the wrong money, nobody knows who to hold responsible.
