Binance continuously evaluates its products and services to ensure a high-quality experience for all users. Starting from 20:00 (UTC+8) on January 2, 2026, if the funding rate of the U-based perpetual contract settles hourly and remains less than or equal to 0.025% in absolute value for 16 consecutive periods, Binance will restore the funding rate settlement frequency from hourly to every four hours in the 17th period.

Case:

• If the funding rate of the ZKPUSDT USDⓈ-M perpetual contract remains continuously less than or equal to 0.025% in absolute value from 05:00 (UTC+8) on January 2, 2026, to 20:00 (UTC+8) on January 2, 2026, the funding rate settlement frequency of the contract will be restored from hourly to every four hours no later than 20:15 (UTC+8) on January 2, 2026. Therefore, the latest funding rate payment time, adjusted to settle every four hours, will be at 00:00 (UTC+8) on January 3, 2026. The specific arrangements are as follows:

• If the ZKPUSDT USDⓈ-M perpetual contract has any funding rate period greater than 0.025% in absolute value from January 2, 2026 05:00 (UTC+8) to January 2, 2026 20:00 (UTC+8), the funding rate settlement frequency of the contract will not change from every hour to every four hours.

Note:

• The adjustment of the funding rate settlement frequency will be completed within about 15 minutes after the above conditions are met. For example, when the funding rate settlement frequency is to be adjusted from every hour to every four hours at 16:00 (UTC+8), users will see the adjustment of the funding rate settlement frequency by 16:15 (UTC+8) at the latest.

• If Binance contracts decide to change the parameters of the above conditions, a separate announcement will be made.

• Please note that the funding fee payment time for every four-hour settlement is: 04:00 (UTC+8), 08:00 (UTC+8), 12:00 (UTC+8), 16:00 (UTC+8), 20:00 (UTC+8), and the next day at 00:00 (UTC+8).

• Users can access the real-time funding rate and historical funding rate pages to view the latest funding rate periods and historical funding rates. API users can query the USDT perpetual contract funding rate information through the new interface: GET /fapi/v1/fundingInfo.
