【7.14 Midday Quick Review】The Asia session’s support holds successfully: BTC recovers 63K and edges toward 64K—countdown to the fifth attempt

BTC: 62,850 (+0.37%) | ETH: 1,791 (+0.68%) | SOL: 75.43 (-0.91%)
Fear & Greed: 22 | Volume: 1.211 billion

Asia got to work.

This morning BTC’s low touched 61,824. The fear index fell from 28 to 22—looks like a typical bearish combination. But the price didn’t keep dropping; instead, starting at 08:00, it climbed steadily with six consecutive hourly candles: 62,334 → 62,549 → 62,540 → 62,544 → 62,572 → 62,745 → 62,850. Each candle isn’t flashy, but the six-hour total is +500 points—an unmistakable “Asia buy-side support” pattern.

A few signals are more optimistic than yesterday:

1) ETH leads the reversal first, with gains outpacing BTC
Ethereum rebounded from an early-morning low of 1,750 to 1,791, up 0.68%, leading BTC’s 0.37%. A strengthening ETH/BTC ratio suggests market risk appetite is recovering—capital is rotating from pure BTC hedging to major altcoins. If ETH can hold above 1,800, it should lift confidence across the broader altcoin sector.

2) Fear at 22 is a lagging indicator, not an early warning
Fear dropping from 28 to 22 looks scary, but it reflects last night’s decline—not today’s action. BTC has already risen 1,000 points from 61,824 to 62,850, while fear is still falling. This kind of divergence—prices up, sentiment down—often signals a reversal that accelerates.

3) Altcoin breadth improves significantly
This morning, only 9 altcoins had gains over 3%, and 12 fell more than 4%. Now it’s 20 up more than 3%, with only 4 down more than 4%. In just one morning, market breadth has doubled. CRV +9.8%, LDO +7.4%—DeFi has started getting capital back.

Time window for the fifth 64K push:
If the Asia session can drive BTC above 63,500, after the U.S. opens in the evening there could be an opportunity to directly challenge 64,000–64,500. Last Thursday’s four failed attempts have already exhausted most of the shorts in that range—each time the rally and pullback magnitude has been shrinking (2,800 → 1,925 → 1,460 → 2,500 last night, but most of it already recovered this morning). On the fifth try, if volume cooperates, it’s likely to break through.
