Claude said it has extended the subscription period for Claude Fable 5 by another seven days, moving it to July 19. According to Foresight News, the report also said OpenAI has temporarily removed Codex’s five-hour usage limit for an unspecified period.

The report said Claude has repeatedly delayed switching Claude Fable 5 to a pay-as-you-go model due to ongoing tight computing capacity.

It added that some users shared screenshots showing high credit bills and proof of subscription cancellations, and said they would switch to OpenAI’s GPT-5.6 Sol or xAI’s Grok 4.5 if the situation continues.
