Fear index of 26.
But why didn’t BTC keep falling? This is the most worth thinking about point besides just looking at the index!
I went back and reviewed today’s data and chart again.
Although the situation in the Middle East has seen more back-and-forth again over the weekend, and since traditional institutional funds are closed for the weekend, liquidity is at its weakest—
BTC only briefly pulled back quickly to around $63,600, and then it returned to around $64,000.
So for today’s chart, I think the stronger “resilience” is more important to record rather than rush to a conclusion.
For a chart that won’t drop,
I know
this doesn’t mean the market will immediately keep rising.
Even though the ETF has ended 8 consecutive weeks of net outflows,
institutional capital has started to flow back in.
But geopolitical uncertainty still remains.
What truly determines the direction is whether,
after traditional markets reopen on Monday,
capital continues to flow in.
That said,
at least during the weekend phase,
I haven’t seen panic-driven selling pressure continue to expand.
To me,
what matters more is not what today’s Fear index is,
but that this is what we’re seeing.
Recently, I’ve had a clear takeaway: after news comes out, how does the market react?
If there are continuous bad negatives,
and the price still can’t fall,
it means the people who are willing to sell
may be getting fewer and fewer.
If there are continuous positives,
but the price still can’t climb,
that’s also a reason to stay highly alert.
So,
I won’t assume that because the Fear index is low,
I must immediately bottom-fish.
And I also won’t assume that because today’s chart is resilient,
the market has already confirmed a reversal.
I’d rather keep waiting for the market to answer that on its own.
For trading,
patience is often also a kind of position.
Finally, I want to ask everyone:
If the Fear index is still in extreme fear,
but BTC starts showing resilience and toughness,
what would you do?
① Start building positions slowly now
② Keep waiting for a lower level
③ Participate only after a confirmed breakout
④ Continue to stay on the sidelines
