Why does having more money just make you bankrupt faster? The illusion that makes you lose because the capital is small

One of the most common excuses that beginners give when losing is that it's hard to trade with only 100 dollars. If I had 10,000 dollars, I would trade differently, manage risks properly, and become rich. This is a deadly illusion. The truth is that if you can't manage 100 dollars, you'll burn through 10,000 dollars in the blink of an eye.

🔸 Capital does not make you smarter; it only amplifies the results of your actions.

If you have good skills, large capital makes you rich faster.

If you have poor skills, large capital only helps you... go bankrupt faster and with greater pain.

👉 Imagine: you can't ride a bike, but you demand to drive an F1 racing car. An accident is inevitable.

🔸 Do you think trading $100 and $10,000 feels the same? Wrong!

With $100, a 10% loss ($10) 👉 you ignore it, grab a coffee, and stay calm to recover.

With $10,000: a 10% loss ($1,000) 👉 you sweat, lose sleep, your hands shake, leading to panic and irrational decisions.

👉 The more capital increases, the greater the psychological burden. If you haven't built steel nerves with a small capital, a large capital will crush you.

🔸 You hate turning $100 into $120 because $20 seems trivial. You want to multiply your investment five or ten times. But remember, Warren Buffett averages about 20% annually.

If you lack the patience to earn $20 from $100, you will never have the ability to earn $2,000 from $10,000.

The first objective is to preserve capital, and the second is performance (%). The absolute dollar amount does not matter.

🔹 Be grateful that you have small capital now. Your stupid mistakes only cost you a few dollars in tuition.

Don't wish for more money to trade. Wish for the skill to trade. When you have skill, turning $100 into $1,000 is inevitable. When you are unskilled, even a million dollars will go to zero.

Are you waiting to become rich to learn risk management, or do you learn risk management to become rich?
