According to on-chain data on Christmas Eve, an Ethereum "pre-mine" wallet was inactive. This address, which had been dormant for more than 10 years, suddenly transferred 2,000 ETH (worth approximately 5.86 million dollars), achieving a gain of nearly 950,000% from its initial value in 2015. Such movements from "old" wallets often raise market concerns, as they spark fears about early insiders cashing out. The timing – during a period of weak liquidity – exacerbated the price impact, contributing to Ethereum's inability to regain the $3,000 barrier.
