A small EU nation is preparing to impose one of the strictest crackdowns on crypto in Europe, warning that hundreds of unlicensed digital asset companies face sanctions, website takedowns, and even imprisonment as early as next week.
The central bank has made it clear that any platform that continues to register users or manage crypto without the correct MiCA authorization after December 31 will be considered illegal.
