With the advancement of artificial intelligence and blockchain, it became clear that we need infrastructure that connects them in a secure, non-centralized way. That’s where @NewtonProtocol comes in.

Today I tested the experimental version of the Newton Mainnet Testnet network, and the experience was different. The core idea of the Newton Protocol is to build a "automation layer" for Web3, enabling AI Agents to carry out complex tasks on the blockchain on your behalf, but with permissions you fully control.

The top 3 points that caught my attention in the test version:

1. Security first: The network uses a precise permissions model. That means the AI Agent can only execute the task it’s been allowed to, without touching your other assets. This solves the trust issue we always worry about with bots.

2. Scalability: Transactions on the test network were fast and fees were extremely low. The goal is clear: support millions of intelligent agents running at the same time.

3. The role of $NEWT: the token $NEWT is the network’s fuel. It’s used to pay transaction fees, contract staking, and protocol governance. Any project that wants to build intelligent agents on Newton needs $NEWT.

What impressed me is that the team focuses on real usage, not just talk. You can now try it yourself and see how an intelligent agent can execute recurring tasks on-chain, like rebalancing your portfolio or monitoring specific prices.

In my opinion, Newton Protocol is trying to solve a big problem: how do we let AI work on the blockchain without sacrificing decentralization and security?
