I took a look at the last few rounds of market action and the way BNB reacts relative to BTC’s price. There’s a fairly regular kind of lag.
When BTC starts a rally, BNB often isn’t among the first group to follow. Instead, it usually comes in half a beat to a beat later—after market sentiment has been confirmed—then it starts to catch up. But the catch-up move is often not small either. It’s the type of “slow to get going, but makes up for it properly.”
This has to do with how its capital is typically allocated. BNB is more often treated as a “steady allocation within mainstream positions,” rather than an asset for betting on fast, sharp pumps and dumps. So in terms of the sequence in which capital enters, it usually comes after BTC and ETH.
Knowing this lag pattern can be a bit useful for judging the market’s pacing. If BNB hasn’t moved, it doesn’t necessarily mean the trend hasn’t started—it might just not be its turn yet.
Have you ever used this kind of lag in your trading? Comment below.
