I did a very interesting trade in practice yesterday. I originally thought that with tokenized stocks on Binance, I could only buy the most popular AI stocks or big-cap tech blue chips. But when I looked into it, I found that even a relatively less-known stock like Bellring ( $BRBR ) is available to buy directly. The speed at which crypto platforms expand asset coverage is indeed beyond what I imagined.

Actually, my friends and I talked about this stock more than ten days ago. At that time, I had already bought in and built my position through Moomoo when it was over 9 yuan. I didn’t expect that in less than ten days, it surged straight from around 9 yuan up to 12 yuan!

Because I’m bullish about its next momentum, I decided yesterday to use funds directly on-chain to add to my position. I also chased another buy of 20,000 shares through Binance. At that time, the price was just above 11. This morning when I woke up and checked, it had already climbed above 12.

Since you mentioned two platforms, I’ll also help everyone calculate a detailed breakdown and see the real fee comparison among Binance, Moomoo, and IBKR for this 20,000-share large transaction:

  • Binance: charges a fixed 0.05%
Estimated fees: 115.2 USDC (Deducted based on the proportion of the total amount).

  • Futu NiuNiu (Moomoo SG): US stocks permanent 0 commission + platform fees + external transaction charges
    Calculation: Commission $0 + platform fee $0.99 per order + external charges ($0.003/share × 20,000 shares = $60).
    Estimated total cost: about $61.0.

  • Interactive Brokers (IBKR Pro fixed rate): charged by number of shares ($0.005/share)
Calculation: $0.005 × 20,000 shares = $100 (including all external exchange and clearing fees).
    Estimated total cost: $100.0.

In terms of total cost, is it worth it to spend this money on Binance? Looking purely at the absolute numbers, Binance is about $54 more expensive than Moomoo and about $15 more expensive than IBKR. But for a total size of more than $230,000, this slight premium is almost negligible.

More importantly, it completely saved me from all the tedious processes, time, and potential offshore withdrawal losses involved in “crypto on-chain withdrawals ➡️ bank wire transfers ➡️ fiat funding vouchers for brokers.” The funds never need to leave the chain: you can buy and sell anytime, 24/7. From the perspective of efficiency and convenience, I think paying these few dozen dollars more is absolutely worth it.

Let’s talk about why I went heavy into this stock at this point.

This investment is actually entirely based on my own real-life experience.

I’m currently using Tirzepatide (Tirzepatide) myself to lose weight. Friends who have used GLP-1–type drugs should resonate: these drugs work extremely well, but you have to deal with the problem of muscle loss—so you must pay attention to supplementing protein. Since April this year, I’ve developed the habit of buying sugar-free protein drinks and various protein supplements every day.

Look at the world: as the population of people using weight-loss drugs grows explosively, most people will develop this habit. “Protein supplements” are moving from being a vertical, niche need in gyms to becoming a mainstream, all-around health need sweeping the globe.

Now look at the K-line and fundamentals: this stock previously dropped hard by more than 90% from its peak, and the share turnover has been very clean. Recently, you can already clearly see a bottoming-up pattern on the daily chart, with the right side starting to rebound. The fundamentals are supported by the long-term tailwind of the weight-loss drug ecosystem—and that’s also why, after taking a round of gains in Moomoo, I then added a large position on Binance as well.

One last detour to share—here’s a picture of the sugar-free protein soda water I bought in Hong Kong. The taste is seriously amazing—really delicious! During injections, when I want a carbonated drink but also need to supplement protein, I highly recommend it!
