The new Chief of Defense Staff of the UK, Naton, has publicly warned that British families must be prepared for their children to sacrifice themselves for the country in the war against Russia. He stated that while the likelihood of a direct attack on British soil by Russia is small, it is not zero.

He urged schools to encourage students to engage in the defense industry and emphasized that Russia possesses a large and combat-experienced military force. This statement closely follows a similar warning from the Chief of Staff of the French Army.

However, the British public does not buy it. In the comments section of related news reports, many messages express a refusal to fight for a government or politicians that disregard citizens, and even less willingness to involve their children.
