Recently, I noticed the community was worried about P2P trading issues, so I discussed with the teams and prepared some guidelines/notes to help users trade more safely. Knowing how to assess counterparties, when to confirm that payment has been received, and what signals to watch for can make a big difference in the quality and safety of the trading experience.

Anh and the team, please check out more references to share with the community.

7 safety tips for P2P trading:

– Always trade on Binance — Do not move the conversation or trading to Telegram, Zalo, WhatsApp. Binance chat & order systems protect both parties and retain records. Off-platform transactions will not be protected by the dispute/appeal process.

– Check the counterparty before trading — Look at the merchant badge, completion rate, total number of transactions, and recent activity. A high completion rate and strong transaction history are reliable signals, especially for high-value trades.

Account name must match — Before receiving/sending funds, check that the account holder name on your bank matches the information on the P2P order. If anyone asks you to use a different account or change payment details → stop and do not proceed.

– Only release crypto after you have received the payment — Do not release based on screenshots or verbal confirmation. Log in directly to your bank app to confirm that the money has arrived. If you’re not sure → wait.

– Watch for red flags — Pressure to complete the trade immediately, requests to change the receiving account mid-transaction, unusual transfer codes, or requests to move to another platform to conduct the exchange. If something feels off → stop and verify again.

– Save all transaction-related data — Keep the Order ID, payment receipts, and chat history in Binance for each transaction. This is crucial evidence in case of disputes that require a complaint.

If needed, contact Binance Customer Service immediately (24/7). Encounter a suspicious situation → stop trading and contact Support via the official app/website. Do not handle it yourself outside the platform
