#opg $OPG Woke up this morning to a surprise
I hit the sack early last night and didn’t check the charts, but when I opened Binance this morning, OPG had shot up to around 0.185. Just yesterday it was hovering around 0.15, and it climbed over ten points overnight. Though after a quick glance, it dipped back a bit, now swaying around 0.177.
I mulled over the possible reasons. First, there was that wave on June 21 when 9.13 million tokens unlocked without crashing the price; the shorts probably waited in vain and might have started to cover after a few days. Second, the overall market sentiment seems to have warmed up a bit, with funds flowing back into the AI sector.
Honestly, this position is kind of awkward. It’s dropped over 60% from the April peak of 0.484 but has bounced back more than 20% from the June low of 0.14. You could say it’s strong, yet it’s still near historical lows; say it’s weak, but there’s always someone stepping in around 0.15.
I came across some interesting posts yesterday.
There was a detailed analysis on Gate, stating that OPG had an 8% positive gain over the past 7 days, but the 24-hour volatility was also significant. This indicates a fierce tug-of-war between bulls and bears, with short-term direction unclear. Another guy posted a short call, entering around 0.1645-0.1650—looks like he might have already been stopped out.
Additionally, I saw that the project team updated their data, indicating that the network has processed over 2 million verifiable AI inferences, 500,000 proofs, deployed over 4,400 models, and has more than 260,000 wallet addresses. The data keeps climbing; it’s not one of those projects that just dumps tokens and kicks back.
Also, there’s news that Bybit is set to list OPG as well. While Bybit's trading volume can’t match Binance or Upbit, having another mainstream exchange is always a plus for liquidity.
I didn’t make any moves today; still holding my base position. Adding more here feels risky due to potential pullbacks, but reducing my position makes me anxious about missing out. Better to stay put.
Oh, and it seems like the trading competition vouchers on Binance are set to expire today, so any of you who participated, remember to claim yours before they go stale.
Did any of you make any moves today? Let’s chat in the comments.
