$RSR Reserve Rights (RSR) is the service token for the Reserve protocol, which is a stablecoin platform on Ethereum. The Reserve protocol consists of a dual token model: the service token RSR and the stablecoin RSV pegged to a basket of assets as collateral.

Since the value of the collateral tokens can be volatile, when the market value of the collateral tokens held by the platform is not sufficient to support the market value of the stablecoin RSV on a 1:1 basis, the platform will mint more RSR tokens and use them to purchase more collateral assets in the secondary markets.
