Kentucky Attorney General Russell Coleman has sued Kalshi and Polymarket, alleging the platforms are offering unlicensed sports betting services in the state.

According to NS3.AI, Kentucky argues that event contract-based platforms are operating without the state licenses required to provide sports betting.

The lawsuit targets the companies’ use of event contracts tied to sports outcomes, which Kentucky contends fall under regulated betting activity and therefore require proper authorization.
