The Ministry of Commerce has approved the supply of Nvidia H200 to verified clients in China.
The U.S. will receive 25% of revenue from export contracts.
The Trump administration's decision has come into conflict with the Senate initiative to ban such supplies.
The U.S. Department of Commerce has allowed Nvidia to resume the export of advanced H200 chips to China, writes AP. Supplies will be directed only to verified commercial clients, and the U.S. government will receive 25% of the revenue from these sales.
The company will only be able to export those H200s that are older than 18 months. These models are significantly more powerful than the H20, which Nvidia developed specifically for export restrictions.
Nvidia stated that they welcome the decision that allows "the American chip industry to compete" and called the approach "balanced."$BNB
