#opg $OPG I tried out OpenGradient Chat @OpenGradient yesterday, and I immediately tossed ChatGPT into the trash on my main screen. ChatGPT hasn’t gotten worse; it's just that I’ve finally had enough of trusting a company that survives on privacy policies. Every time I hit agree, I feel like I'm betting that this company won’t turn rogue tomorrow.

There's a saying in our circle: Not your keys, not your coins. But now that AI models are everywhere, I often wonder, if everything we say to AI is running naked on their servers, do our thoughts really belong to us anymore?

OpenGradient Chat addresses my trust anxiety with big tech. My messages are encrypted before they even leave my phone, with the keys only existing on my device. Plus, the IP address and message content are separated, going through this transparent glass room called TEE, where messages can only be decrypted inside, and the whole structure is verifiable.

Before, I hesitated to discuss certain topics with AI, but this time, I don’t feel like there’s a recorder on the other side. I also casually tried out the image generation in chat.opengradient.ai, and it defaults to an encrypted channel as well.

The most ironic part? I found its privacy policy to be super short. It doesn't need dozens of pages of legal jargon to put you at ease; its security is written in silicon and math.

Do any of you have topics you were afraid to discuss with AI? I certainly did, but now I'm open to chatting about them.
