Another round of the Pumpfun presale, and going forward, I'd advise against participating in IPOs or token launches in the crypto space (excluding Alpha's) if you still want to avoid getting played.

I got in on Pumpfun over at Bybit, managed to rake in over 40% pre-launch, but when it came time for allocation, they said there weren’t enough tokens and had to refund me. They ended up giving me a 20u contract voucher as compensation, which really left a bad taste in my mouth.

This time with SpaceX, I was looking at over 25% pre-launch, but guess what? Same script - not enough allocation and they’re prepping for refunds.

These middlemen see profits before the launch and suddenly claim there’s no allocation (are they pocketing it themselves?). When the price drops and they start losing money, suddenly they've got stock to sell you, and they won't lose out no matter what. Don’t forget these middlemen take a 5% cut.

I’ve already been burned twice; I won’t be participating in any more crypto IPOs.

As for BTC, I’ve been dollar-cost averaging in since it was at 75k. If you’re looking to DCA, you can start from 53k, but that’s strictly DCA; I’ll be waiting for 30k-40k to make any active buys. I’m only DCA-ing into BTC spot, not considering any other coins, including BNB. If it really hits 30k-40k, I might consider going long with some 1x coin positions.

Stop hoping for the perfect bottom; retail - wealthy - bottom fishing isn’t a triangle that works. Just because you have cash doesn’t mean it’s the bottom, and if you have a bottom, you’re out of cash to buy. DCA at least keeps you within a range.

Since March, I’ve been busy prepping for exams, and the stress has kept me away from Binance for a while. Hope you all are doing well, and I wish you’re all on the ride when BTC hits new highs.

(Users who participated in the Binance wallet IPO can check for refunds in the wallet; it was a complete mix-up IPO 🤣)

Best wishes.
