A lot of folks think the hardest part in crypto is making money, but that's not it.
What really keeps you up at night is cashing out.
When your account's up by tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands of U, you’ll realize the real issues are just beginning: bank risk controls, source of funds verification, transfer limits, account freezes… Even though you earned that money, it doesn’t always mean you can smoothly pocket it.
So there's a saying in the crypto world that’s pretty real:
Making profits is one thing, cashing out is a skill.
Over the years, I’ve boiled it down to a few principles:
① Don’t take out all your big funds at once; stagger your withdrawals for safety.
② Double-check your address, chain type, and account info before a withdrawal; one mistake can lead to permanent loss.
③ Avoid frequent large inflows and outflows; it can trigger risk control measures.
④ When you hit your target profit, cash out promptly; the numbers in your account don’t equal the real money you’ve made.
⑤ Keep records of all deposits, withdrawals, and transfers; they can save you a lot of hassle when it counts.
⑥ Always leave yourself a portion of your position and cash; don’t box yourself in.
The harshest part of crypto isn’t not making money, it’s making it and then not being able to keep it.
Making profits is just the start; protecting your gains and securing your cash is what makes you a true winner.
