$BR I recently stumbled upon the @Bedrock Bedrock 2.0 which is set to launch a bunch of vaults, and instinctively, I got my guard up. You've probably heard a lot of fancy terms like real-world assets, right?
But no matter how pretty the roadmap looks, that doesn't mean the product is actually hitting the ground. I've seen way too many projects treat PPTs like they're real results, and users dive in only to find it's all smoke and mirrors.
What really raised my alarm was that April vulnerability when Dedaub flagged an issue with the uniBTC exchange rate calculation, allowing for infinite minting. Although Bedrock reacted quickly and patched it up right away, the risk in the code is exponentially magnified.
So my stance on these vaults is pretty straightforward: I’m all for revitalizing the broader market, letting it break free from its stagnant fate. I'm totally on board with that. But I don't care how high the APY is; I’m just focused on whether Bedrock can keep its security record clean. Whether users are willing to jump in depends on whether the code has been rigorously stress-tested.
For now, I'm not putting any BTC in. At least I'll wait for the first vault to run for three months without any hiccups before considering it again.
What do you all think? If Bedrock 2.0's vault goes live, would you be ready to dive in headfirst right away, or like me, would you prefer to let things settle for a bit? #Bedrock
