According to sources, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is advocating legislation to allow users of its retail central bank digital currency (CBDC) to delete any transactions from the network's ledger to remain anonymous. The Reserve Bank of India is currently conducting retail and wholesale CBDC pilots, with retail CBDC pilots in at least 15 cities, with more than 100,000 customers and 13 banks participating in the pilots.
