#Who hasn't felt their heart stop this morning checking the market? I'm keeping a close eye on W/USDT and BIO/USDT, and for a second I felt that painful and familiar FOMO thinking: "No way, they pumped it x10 and I missed out!" 💔
However, when you zoom in, the reality is different. There wasn't a rally, but rather a technical adjustment of decimals by the exchange.
Yesterday we saw W/USDT at 0.0138 and today it's trading with an extra decimal (0.01086). This often creates a lot of confusion and makes us think $USDC that they're "devaluing the coin right in front of us," but in reality, it's just a change in price precision (they're adding zeros so smaller variations can be traded better), not a loss of your money or a change in the actual value of your tokens.
💡 In summary: Don’t panic, your coins are still worth the same; they just changed the rule for how the price is displayed on your screen.
We've all been there when the market pulls a fast one on our minds. What other coin have you seen recently that changed its decimal count and gave you a real scare? 👇 I’m reading your comments!
