90s girl loses 300k in crypto, wants to slowly recover on her own
Hey bros from the crypto space, I've hesitated a long time before posting this. I'm a regular girl born in '96, and in '23, I watched people around me make some pocket money in crypto, so I jumped in without thinking.
At first, I only invested a few thousand to test the waters and made a few hundred bucks, which got me feeling like this was way easier than working. Later, I threw in over 200k of my savings from three years of work, including my year-end bonus, and even borrowed a few thousand in online loans, thinking I’d cash out once it went up a bit more. But I ended up chasing the pump and dump, got into futures, and when I got liquidated overnight, I was at my computer crying until dawn.
The past half a year has been a nightmare; I feel like a ghost. I stay up all night watching the charts, my heart racing when it goes up a bit, and I can't sleep when it dips. I can’t tell my parents; I’m afraid they'll worry, and I can't mention it to my friends; I don’t want to be laughed at. Every month when I get my paycheck, I first pay off the loan, living frugally, barely treating myself to a cup of milk tea.
I know I was greedy and naive; I deserve to fall into this pit. I’ve already closed all my positions and deleted my accounts; I won't touch crypto again. I'm posting this not to beg, but to slowly recover on my own strength. I can organize data in spreadsheets, keep an eye on the charts, write simple recap notes, and help out with any odd jobs. $BTC ... $ETH
