Polygon announced the results of an audit of Polygon zkEVM conducted by security team Hexens, which found 9 vulnerabilities ranging from low to critical in Polygon zkEVM's documentation, as well as 7 additional recommendations related to information gaps. All 16 issues are currently fixed.

In addition to Hexens, another security team, Spearbit, also conducted a parallel audit of the Polygon zkEVM smart contract, focusing on ZK circuitry and cryptography. The Polygon Hermez team is also conducting its own internal audit.
