Stock tokens don’t pay dividends? Wrong!

Recently, while digging into ONDO’s stock tokens, I found out that a lot of folks are under the misconception: if you hold ONDO stock tokens, you can’t enjoy the corresponding stock dividends.

Actually, you can! It’s just that the dividend method is different!

In traditional stocks, dividends are paid out directly in cash to shareholders;

but on Binance Alpha, tokenized securities won’t hand you cash directly. Instead, they automatically reinvest (compound) the dividends back into the underlying securities.

To put it simply:

✅ US stockholders get cash dividends

✅ Token holders receive equivalent additional assets

❌ No direct USD cash will hit your account

According to the official explanation, dividends will be reflected in:

Token price increases

or an increase in the number of tokens held

The exact display method depends on the blockchain and platform

For example:

Let’s say you hold $1,000 worth of ONDO stock tokens.

If the corresponding stock distributes a 2% dividend,

a traditional brokerage account would receive $20 in cash;

but in the tokenized securities system, that $20 will automatically buy more of the underlying asset, effectively completing a reinvestment for you.

In the long run, this model is actually great for lazy investors:

Just hold on, no need to manually collect dividends or buy back in.

Many think stock tokens only track price fluctuations, but in reality, they also handle:

✔ Dividends
✔ Stock splits
✔ Reverse splits
✔ Other corporate actions

This means it’s closer to the real stockholding experience than many realize.

If you’re bullish on US stocks long-term, then holding this type of stock token essentially means you’re enjoying:

Price appreciation + Dividend compounding

That’s why more and more people are treating Binance as another way to buy US stocks.

One key point:
Opening a US stock brokerage account is way harder than using Binance!
