Foresight News reports that, according to Bloomberg, Apple is set to unveil a brand new Siri interface for iOS 27, along with a fresh chatbot-style application and other major updates at the global developer conference on June 8. Bloomberg has released preview images of the comprehensive upgrade and AI features for Apple's iOS 27 Siri, but emphasizes that Apple will continue to update based on testing.

This revision of Siri marks the largest overhaul in the voice assistant's nearly 15-year history, with a consumer release anticipated in September. The success or failure of the new AI features will also impact consumer reactions to the iPhone 18 Pro series and Apple’s first foldable iPhone set to launch this fall.

The new Siri will include features previously announced to launch in 2024, such as the ability to understand personal data and analyze screen content. But these features are just part of a broader upgrade: it adopts a brand new model based on Google Gemini technology, AI-driven web search, and a completely redesigned interface. Additionally, there's a dedicated Siri app aimed at going head-to-head with ChatGPT and other AI assistants.
