Vitalik Buterin candidly stated that the Ethereum Foundation will streamline operations, reduce selling pressure, and warned that idealism should not be eroded by commercial interests. ETH is currently at a key breakout level; if it holds above $2150, it could surge to $2600, with ETF capital flows potentially becoming a significant driver next year.

In a candid Twitter post, Vitalik Buterin discussed the future direction of the Ethereum Foundation, noting that structural reorganization could alter ETH's long-term dynamics. This has pushed Ethereum price predictions into bullish territory.

Buterin released a lengthy personal statement outlining his vision for a more streamlined and principled Ethereum Foundation, clearly acknowledging that his influence within the organization will continue to wane, a shift he personally "welcomes".

The key is that this post indicates that, as operations are streamlined, the Foundation will reduce selling pressure in the future. Vitalik used a sharp analogy to explain the evolution of the E.F., saying that Google once held idealistic founding principles, but commercial pressures eroded those principles.

Buterin’s message was straightforward: Ethereum must never repeat the same mistakes.

Ethereum price prediction: As pressure from the Foundation’s selling eases, can ETH break out of the downtrend?

This week, Ethereum is still in the $2,100 range, representing weekly support after a sharp drop from $2,500. Stable daily action this week, accompanied by clear accumulation signals, suggests that positions are being built slowly.

At present, the daily chart shows an inverted head-and-shoulders pattern, with the neckline near $2,150. If Ethereum can clearly break above that level, the pattern is expected to target around $2,600.

For Ethereum, the weekly closing price needs to stay at least above $2,150. If the pattern is confirmed, momentum may first drive it closer to $2,400, and then rebound to above $2,500.

But the most likely scenario is that, with macro conditions causing fluctuations, the $2,400 target faces $2,400 as a short-term resistance level, and the market will trade within a consolidation range of $2,100–$2,200.

ETF activity for ETH adds another layer to the structural demand narrative, with institutional fund flows increasingly seen as a key price-driving factor that can’t be ignored in the second half of 2025.
