I don't think this ETF outflow means institutions are running away; it feels more like they're waiting for lower prices to re-enter.

Swissblock mentioned that $BTC has entered the 'high-risk zone.' The ETF continues to see outflows, and with supply pressure not being countered by demand — sounds pretty scary, right? But if you think about it, the spot price is still lying at 76877, and there are still 99147 BTC in contract positions that haven't moved. If they were really running, those positions would have collapsed by now.

The funding rate is +0.0064%, which is almost neutral. The bulls haven't gone crazy with leverage, and the bears aren't heavily suppressing either. The contract trading volume is 8.9 times that of the spot, with a trading volume of $6 billion. In this environment, to say 'institutions are fleeing' feels premature to me.

What I see is another possibility: the ETF redemptions are more about rebalancing partial positions, not liquidating. Institutions aren't selling off their coins; they might just be changing their holding strategy or waiting for a pullback window.

I acknowledge the opposing argument has its merits: if the outflows continue for another two weeks without new buying interest, then the price indeed might struggle to hold. I don't deny that risk.

But do you think at this point, institutions are running away, or are they just lurking?
