Trader of $BNB for 5 years — please read before using leverage
I've been trading on Binance since April 2021 and I want to share something that nobody told me when I started.
When I joined Binance, I had instant access to leveraged trading. No testing. No warnings. No explanation of what that really means.
Here’s the simple truth about leverage that I wish someone had told me.
If you use 10x leverage — a 10% move against you wipes out your entire position. Gone. In minutes.
If you use 20x leverage — just a 5% move is enough to destroy everything you put in.
I thought leverage was a tool to earn more. In reality, it’s a tool that can take everything faster than you can react.
Binance has since improved protections for new users and I respect that they are working on it.
But please — if you’re new, start without any leverage. Learn the market first. Protect yourself.
I learned this the hard way so you don’t have to.
