What does this mean for the community? Well, in forums and social media discussions, there's chatter about the total supply and how to cut it down, because without that we won't see LUNC back at $1. That's why this MM2 aims for accelerated burns with the USTC/LUNC swap. There's still a long way to go, but it's estimated that by the second half of 2027 we might have it ready for community adoption. The LUNC swapped with USTC are the ones that will be taken out of circulation.

Since the 2022 crash, only about 6 to 7% of the total supply has been burned. To put it in perspective, once the MM2 drops, we could see a 20% reduction in just one week. It all hinges on the community's adoption of the mainnet.
