Baib is a new type of computer computing power resource project, which also involves the issuance of stablecoins.
In simple terms, it is a project that 'packages' AI hardware (such as high-end GPU graphics cards) into digital assets, allowing ordinary people to invest in AI computing power and make money without buying a whole machine. It tokenizes real AI infrastructure (such as GPUs in data centers) into tradable assets on the blockchain, allowing users to share in the revenue from renting computing power from AI companies by holding these assets. The core tools are their stablecoins AID (AI dollars) and sAID (staking version). AID acts like a 'smart wallet', automatically investing your money in AI hardware for profits, while sAID allows you to hold liquidity while also receiving dividends.
Example 1: A novice user invests in GPU shares.
Imagine you are a working professional wanting to get into AI but don't have money to buy a server. You deposit $1,000 in USDC (a stablecoin) on the Gaib platform, and Gaib invests this money in a real GPU data center (for example, a project in collaboration with Aethir). These GPUs are rented to AI companies to train models (like ChatGPT), generating daily income from rental fees—if, for instance, a GPU rents out for $5 an hour, your share could earn you about $0.01 in return (annualized possibly 10-20%). This money automatically flows back into your sAID account, which you can withdraw at any time, and you can also use it for lending or trading in DeFi. Simply put, it's about 'earning passive income from AI hardware rental' without worrying about operations. Example 2: An AI entrepreneur raises funds to build a site.
A startup AI company needs 100 GPUs to train models but can't afford them. Gaib helps them 'pre-sell' future GPU rental income as tokens; users buy these tokens like stocks, and when the AI company uses the GPUs, the rental income is directly sent to the users' wallets. The result? The company gets money to build a site, users earn rental income, and the Gaib platform takes a small fee for continuous use. It's like Airbnb, but renting computing power instead of houses.
First, the Gaib project is controlled by the Gaib Foundation, headquartered in Singapore. The company was established in 2024 and currently has 19 employees, focusing on blockchainization of AI computing infrastructure. Singapore, being a crypto-friendly country, helps the project attract international investment and talent.
Founder and CEO Kony Kwong (also known as kony001) has a Chinese background; he was an investment analyst in the strategic mergers and acquisitions team at Huobi Global (a well-known cryptocurrency exchange originating from China), which shows his close ties to the Chinese crypto ecosystem. Moreover, project investors include Amber Group and Antalpha Global, both with Chinese backgrounds, which often participate in crypto projects related to Asia, especially China. Although details about the core team are not fully disclosed, Kony’s experience indicates a deep involvement of Chinese individuals in project decision-making and financing.
Second, Gaib has completed three rounds of financing, led by well-known investment institutions such as HackVC, Amber Group, and Spartan Group, with a total amount reaching $15 million, including seed rounds, airdrops, and token issuance. Additionally, in the pilot on the BNB Chain, they raised $100,000 in just 10 minutes, showing high market recognition.
Third, the project development timeline started in early 2025, with the AID Alpha test version launched in May, attracting over 11,000 users and $200 million in pre-deposits; the official launch of AID/sAID synthetic USD on October 31; piloting GPU tokenization with Aethir on the BNB chain; recently reaching a $30 million GPU tokenization agreement with Asian partners; the mainnet AID is planned to go live in Q4 2025, with the TGE (Token Generation Event) occurring on November 19.
Fourth, in terms of community, interactions mainly occur through X (Twitter) and the Galxe platform, with over 110,000 users; airdrop activities include rewards based on Spice points, early users earn points by depositing stablecoins like USDC/USDT (up to 5 times multiplication), and there are Fremen Essence NFTs (3,000 supply) as additional rewards, with content creators and contributors also able to participate.
Fifth, the total token issuance is 1 billion tokens, with an unlocking plan that includes 40% for the community (10% unlocked at TGE, the rest gradually released over possibly 60 months), 20.7% for core contributors (linear unlocking over 12-60 months), 19.82% for early supporters with similar unlocking, and 19.48% for early ecosystem and growth incentives; the overall TGE circulation is about 20%.
Sixth, GAIB already has pre-market trading and over-the-counter trading on small exchanges, with a price around $0.19, corresponding to a fully diluted market cap of $190 million. Based on the project's uniqueness and financing scale, the expected trading price at the formal TGE is higher than the pre-market trading price.
