CryptoQuant CEO: Bull market remains valid unless $BTC loses $94K
CryptoQuant founder and CEO Ki Young Ju said the market should not assume a confirmed bear cycle unless Bitcoin drops below $94,000 — the average cost basis for investors who accumulated BTC over the last 6–12 months.
“I do not think the bear cycle is confirmed unless we lose that level,” Ju said on X.
“I would rather wait than jump to conclusions.”
The $94K threshold is viewed as a crucial line of defense for bulls.
Bitwise CEO: “We may have already been in a bear market for 6 months”
Not all analysts agree. Bitwise CEO Hunter Horsley said the traditional four-year cycle no longer applies due to the introduction of Bitcoin ETFs and a new U.S. administration, which he argues have reshaped market structure.
“There’s a good chance we’ve been in a bear market for almost six months now and are almost through it,” Horsley wrote.
“The setup for crypto right now has never been stronger.”
XRP ETF posts strongest launch of 2025, signaling fresh altcoin demand
Despite the weakness in Bitcoin ETFs, demand for regulated altcoin ETFs is emerging.
The Canary Capital XRP (XRPC) ETF, the first U.S. ETF backed by spot XRP, launched Thursday with $58 million in first-day volume, outperforming all other ETF launches in 2025 — both crypto and traditional — according to Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas.
“$XRPC posted the biggest Day One volume of any ETF launched this year,” Balchunas wrote, noting it narrowly beat the Bitwise Solana ETF (BSOL), which saw $57 million.
The strong debut indicates continued investor interest in alternative crypto assets despite weakness at the top of the market.
Ether ETFs bleed while Solana ETFs extend inflow streak
ETF flows across other major crypto assets remained mixed:
Ether (ETH) ETFs saw $259 million in outflows
Solana (SOL) ETFs recorded $1.5 million in inflows, extending their 13-day streak
Bitcoin ETFs remained the primary source of outflows across the sector
