This is how I blew my account by the end of 2025…
A year in review.
There were green PNLs, and some days I hit big… but in the end, my account was still down nearly $3000.
It’s not because the market was too brutal.
It’s because I made almost every mistake that futures traders typically make:
Full margin when feeling emotional
Holding onto losses instead of cutting them
DCA-ing recklessly just to 'hope for the shore'
Winning a few trades made me overly confident
Chasing losses after a string of bad trades
Using 50x, 100x like I was gambling
There were days I made $50-100, feeling like I really understood the market.
But just one wrong trade… wiped out a month’s worth of gains.
Looking at the PNL calendar, seeing more red than green, I finally understood:
Trading isn’t hard when it comes to making money; it’s tough when it comes to keeping it.
By the end of 2025, I lost money, but I learned a few things:
No all-in
Always have a stop loss
Don’t trade based on emotions
Slow gains are better than fast losses
Futures should be a tool, not a gamble
Hope 2026 will be a year of disciplined trading instead of emotional trading.
