Foresight News reports, according to CoinDesk, Kraken will replace LayerZero with Chainlink to enable cross-chain asset transfers. Kraken stated that last month’s $292 million cross-chain exploit on the liquidity re-collateralization protocol Kelp exposed the risks of traditional cross-chain infrastructure. Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) will become Kraken's exclusive cross-chain service for encapsulated crypto assets, including its wrapped Bitcoin, kBTC. Kraken's migration encompasses multiple blockchains, including Ink, Ethereum, Unichain, and Optimism, with plans to support more chains in the future.

Previously, platforms like Kelp, Solv, and Re have also executed similar migrations.
