Can BTC’s next bull run surpass gold? — How reliable is this claim?

Recently, CZ said in an interview:
"Bitcoin’s next bull run could surpass gold’s market cap and become the world’s largest store of value."
How much is gold’s market cap? About $17 trillion.
BTC is currently $1.5 trillion, meaning it would need to rise by 10x or more.
So the price would likely be around $800,000 per coin.
Sounds pretty wild, right?
But when you look back:
In 2017, people said BTC could reach $10,000—nobody believed it.
In 2020, people said BTC could reach $100,000—nobody believed it.
And now, people say it could reach $800,000…
Of course, CZ said "could," not "definitely."
And he was talking about the "next bull run," not "this year."

My personal view is:
Surpassing gold isn’t impossible, but it likely can’t be completed in the next cycle.
It’s like saying, "This kid might grow to two meters tall in the future"—
It’s theoretically possible, but it takes several stages of development in between.

For BTC to surpass gold, there are three conditions:
1) Institutional broad allocation — right now, ETFs are just the beginning; pensions and sovereign funds are the real big players.
2) Clear regulatory certainty — the U.S., the EU, and China all need explicit frameworks.
3) Intergenerational mindset shift — younger people buy BTC more than gold; that part is a matter of time.

Of the three conditions: the first is already happening, the second is progressing, and the third needs time.
So CZ’s direction is right, but the timing may be overly optimistic.
It’s like a weather forecast saying it will rain tomorrow—only for the rain to arrive the day after.
