VN-Index is nearing its historical peak
• VN-Index closed the session at 1,891 points, the highest price level since the end of January 2026. The index representing the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange is just 10 points away from its all-time high of 1,902 (based on closing prices), which is less than 1%.
• The green wave dominated the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange with 202 stocks up, nearly double the number of stocks down. The large-cap basket shows an even wider gap with 24 stocks up, 8 times more than those down.
• Major players like SSI, VCI, TCX, VPX, and VCK all climbed by 2-4%.
• This momentum comes after FTSE Russell updated its list of 29 stocks meeting the criteria to enter the FTSE Global All Index, plus forecasts from several organizations about the likelihood of Vietnam being added to MSCI's watchlist for an upgrade in next month's assessment.
Not often do we see both crypto traders and stock market enthusiasts riding the same wave! 😂
