Senator Thom Tillis has announced his intention to urge the Senate Banking Committee to schedule a markup for the delayed crypto market structure bill upon the Senate's return on May 11. According to NS3.AI, Tillis noted that while the text of the bill has advanced, disagreements concerning stablecoin yield, ethics regulations, and protections for software developers have hindered progress. The House of Representatives passed its version, known as the CLARITY Act, in July, but the Senate's version is still under negotiation.
