Introduction

Monthly calls with EOS Block Producers (BPs) aim to establish regular communication between the top 30 EOS BPs and the EOS Network Foundation (ENF) to foster open dialogue between network operators and custodians and support the shared growth of the EOS ecosystem.

Conference Overview

CEO (Chief Executive Officer) latest work progress

During the meeting, Yves La Rose, CEO of the EOS Network Foundation, shared with everyone the latest progress of the two major projects.

EVM launch date details

EOS EVM will launch the 0.x developer version on April 14. Over time, EOS EVM will launch more building block components, and as EVM matures, its permission set will be more decentralized. More than 20 teams participated in the TrustEVM hackathon, and some of them are planning to launch their dApps on EOS EVM.

Yves also reiterated that EVM developers are encouraged to seek funding through the EOS Direct Funding framework.

Yield+ Project Updates

The Yield+ program has been successful, and it is worth noting that TVL continues to increase even in difficult market conditions. There are some changes coming to the Yield+ requirements. Previously, we only advocated for projects to be audited, but now all projects participating in the Yield+ program, in addition to having to register for Recover+, must also be audited by a reputable company.

Upcoming Events

Paris Blockchain Week:

EOS Network Foundation CEO Yves La Rose, CMO Patty Fisher and our friends at Zaisan.io will attend Paris Blockchain Week together to represent the EOS ecosystem to introduce the latest EOS developments to the broader Web3 ecosystem. In addition, Yves will give a wonderful speech on the theme of "NFT, Games, Metaverse: What's Your Next Move?" on the guest stage of the conference. The EOS Network Foundation will also host a surrounding wine party to invite everyone to taste wine and cheese together and meet and communicate with partners, investors, community leaders and ecosystem builders.

Game Developers Conference (GDC) San Francisco, CA:

EOS Network Foundation CCO Zack Gall, CTO Bart Wyatt, Engineering Technology Director Areg Hayrapetian and more core members will be present to participate in the Game Developers Conference to promote the huge opportunities to build and develop the GameFi project based on EOS and discuss the future development of EOS.

Hong Kong Web3 Festival 2023 — Yves La Rose, CEO of EOS Network Foundation, will attend the conference and participate in some peripheral activities. If EOS BPs are also attending the conference in Hong Kong, Yves said he is very willing to communicate with everyone in person.

Yves will be traveling to Asia several times this year, including to Hong Kong for the inaugural Web3 Festival, South Korea for Korea Blockchain Week, and Singapore for Token2049.

Questions and Answers

Question 1: Currently, Hong Kong’s policies are relatively favorable. What plans does the EOS Network Foundation have for entering Hong Kong?

The EOS Network Foundation has established a company in Hong Kong and has offices, engineering staff and project managers in Hong Kong.

Question 2: Is the Hong Kong office’s main focus on development or business operations?

It is more of a development job now, but the EOS Network Foundation is looking to expand the Hong Kong office’s business operations capabilities in Hong Kong. There may be more engineers and more business operations staff in the Hong Kong region. The EOS EVM is primarily managed by the Hong Kong office.

Denis Carriere from EOS Nation issued an open call for any ideas that could help promote GameFi on EOS and that can be proven through on-chain metrics, such as how many unique active wallets (UAW) per day, a metric currently tracked on DappRadar.

About the EOS Network

The EOS network is a paradigm of the blockchain 3.0 era, powered by EOS VM. EOS VM is a low-latency, high-performance and scalable WebAssembly engine that enables near-invisible deterministic transaction execution. The EOS network is designed for Web 3 and is committed to achieving the best Web 3 user and developer experience. EOS is the flagship blockchain and financial center of the Antelope protocol, and through the EOS Network Foundation (ENF) as a tool for multi-chain collaboration and the development of public infrastructure products, it further improves the infrastructure and drives the rapid development of EOS.

EOS Network Foundation

The EOS Network Foundation (ENF) was created to create a prosperous, decentralized future for the EOS ecosystem. ENF is ushering in a new round of Web3 change by encouraging active participation from key stakeholders in the EOS ecosystem, supporting community projects, providing ecosystem funding, and supporting the construction of an open technology ecosystem. As the center of the EOS network and a leading open source platform, ENF was founded in 2021 and has a stable set of frameworks, tools, and blockchain deployment libraries. Together, we have achieved innovation in community building and are committed to creating a stronger future for all.
