Metrics, lots of metrics: FDV numbers, circulating supply, trading volume, token holders, TVL, fees, revenue, token incentives, P/S and P/F ratios, daily active users, etc.
Data on exchanges, blockchain and the DeFi space.
Financial Statements.
Very useful for basic analysis of projects. Yes, the fundamentals, the shmundamentals… As they say, scams are the hardest to pull out in cryptocurrencies. But this is another important tool to pay attention to and refer to during times of volatility (and not just that).
dune

Dune Analytics is a powerhouse when it comes to blockchain research. As Dune explains in its documentation, it provides “all the tools you need to discover, explore, and visualize large amounts of blockchain data.” They didn't lie! Some choices Dune can make for you:

How to use cryptographic analysis tools?
Cryptoanalysis tools are useful in several ways.
Research Token Price Basics
You can evaluate whether a coin is priced appropriately by looking at some simple metrics and comparing it to competitors. There is a complete guide on how to evaluate blockchain protocols.
Investigate the flow of funds
On-chain analytics allows you to track the flow of funds across the crypto economy. You don't need to be a financial auditor to do this, either. Accounts like Whale Alert make your life easy. Here is a good post on how to track whale wallets on-chain:

Learn about the different departments
Several companies on this list publish lengthy research reports. Since CoinMarketCap is here for your convenience, we keep track of the most interesting reports, so you can just follow our Tech Deep Dive section. But if you want to really get into the nitty-gritty of an industry, companies like Messari and Delphi Digital produce excellent research on even the most obscure crypto niches.
in conclusion
Of course, there are many more cryptographic analysis tools. Collectiveshift has compiled a list that also includes chain-specific and project-specific analysis tools. Some protocols collect data themselves, which can be used to analyze the underlying value of a token’s price.
However, with this list of crypto research tools, you will have more than enough data points to thoroughly research your project. Good luck!
