Wall Street closed in the green this Wednesday, hitting new records on the S&P 500 and Nasdaq after the U.S. announced an extension of its ceasefire with Iran.

By the end of the session, the Dow Jones was up 0.69%, hitting 49,490 points; the selective S&P gained 1.05%, reaching 7,137 units, and the Nasdaq jumped 1.64%, closing at 24,657 integers.

The market rebounded after two days of losses, fueled by expectations of progress in the Middle East crisis, although oil prices continued to be pressured upwards due to tensions in the Strait of Hormuz.
