Coin World News reports that on April 17 (UTC+8), according to monitoring by Dongcha Beating, the AI video platform HeyGen has open-sourced HyperFrames, an HTML video toolchain and rendering framework for AI agents. Agents can directly write HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and then preview and render locally into MP4, MOV, or WebM. HeyGen has also released the corresponding skill with the installation command `npx skills add heygen-com/hyperframes`. The core idea of HyperFrames is straightforward: do not let agents learn After Effects or DaVinci Resolve, but instead, let them use the web languages they're most familiar with to create videos. HeyGen has simply added a layer of data- attributes on top of standard web syntax to define timelines, durations, and layers, allowing technologies like GSAP, Lottie, Three.js, D3, Google Fonts, and more to be used directly. HeyGen claims that this solution has been validated in their own Video Agent, with demonstration videos produced directly by Claude Code using HyperFrames. For AI agents, this resembles a native workflow more than traditional video editors: writing code, viewing previews, and finalizing works can all be done locally without needing an extra API key. The project is open-sourced today under the Apache 2.0 license.
