A Federal Police operation carried out this Wednesday (15) led to the arrest of Raphael Sousa Oliveira, responsible for the page “Choquei”, as well as the funk artists MC Ryan SP and Poze do Rodo. They are suspected of being part of a money laundering scheme through cryptocurrencies, which would have moved around R$ 1.6 billion.

The investigation is part of a larger offensive to dismantle a criminal organization identified for using sophisticated methods to hide the origin of illicit funds.

According to the Federal Police, the group used various strategies to hinder the tracking of money, including operations with cryptocurrencies, large bank transactions, and cash circulation.

More than 200 agents participated in the operation, executing arrest warrants and search and seizure orders in several states, such as São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Goiás, Pernambuco, and the Federal District. During the operation, luxury cars, jewelry, watches, cash, cell phones, and computers were seized, which should assist in the progress of the investigations.

Authorities claim that the scheme may have involved more than R$ 1.6 billion. The suspicion is of using shell companies and third-party accounts to conceal the origin of the funds.

Raphael Sousa Oliveira was arrested in Goiânia. So far, no details about his involvement have been disclosed. MC Ryan SP and Poze do Rodo have been detained in locations linked to them, and the defenses claim that they have not yet had full access to the process, which remains confidential.

The investigated individuals may face charges such as money laundering, criminal association, and foreign exchange evasion. The Federal Police reported that the operation may have new developments as the analysis of the seized material unfolds.$USDC ,$BTC ,$PAXG
