Mars Finance news, according to a report by research institution K33, the Bitcoin 30-day average funding rate has been negative for 46 consecutive days, matching the duration of the bear market bottom in 2022. Historically, only the periods from March to May 2020 (63 days) and from June to August 2021 (49 days) have seen longer stretches of negative funding rate. K33's research director Vetle Lunde pointed out that the current negative funding rate, combined with an increase in open contracts and rising prices, has led to an exceptionally aggressive short sentiment, increasing the probability of a short squeeze, and Bitcoin is expected to break through the 68-day consolidation range. Currently, Bitcoin has rebounded by 23% from the low of around $60,000 on February 6, but is still down about 41% from the historical high of approximately $126,000 in October 2025.
