Pixels (PIXEL): Web3 Social Farming Game on Ronin

Pixels (PIXEL) is a social, casual Web3 game built on the Ronin Network that blends farming, exploration, and creation in a vibrant open-world metaverse. Inspired by classics like Stardew Valley, Animal Crossing, and Runescape, it takes familiar cozy-game mechanics and layers in true digital ownership through blockchain.

How It Works

The core loop revolves around gathering resources like crops, wood, and stone, then using them to craft food, furniture, and tools. Farming is the main industry, with Farm Land NFT owners earning a share of crops grown on their plots. Energy limits gameplay and recharges over time or with in-game food.

Pixels is free-to-play, but offers optional NFTs and a VIP pass for extra features. Players can use avatars from 80+ integrated NFT collections like Bored Ape Yacht Club and Pudgy Penguins. Farm Land and Pixel Pet NFTs trade on Mavis Marketplace and OpenSea.

Economy & Token

Pixels uses two currencies: off-chain Coins for in-game progression, and on-chain PIXEL for governance, NFT mints, VIP memberships, guilds, and premium upgrades. Unlike traditional games where assets stay with the publisher, Farm Land and items are NFTs owned by players. The project migrated from Polygon to Ronin in late 2023 to tap into Ronin’s existing Web3 gaming audience.

Why It Stands Out

1. True Ownership: Land and Pets are verifiable on-chain assets, not licensed items.

2. Community-Driven: PIXEL stakers vote on ecosystem rewards, and the game is built alongside its users.

3. Social Hub: Dozens to hundreds of players roam the world simultaneously, completing quests and decorating together.

  1. With over 100k monthly active wallets and a focus on becoming a multi-game publishing hub, Pixels aims to transform Web3 gaming from sunk-cost spending into a circular economy where players are stakeholders. The current Leaderboard Campaign rewards active players with PIXEL, further tying gameplay to the token economy.#pixel $PIXEL
