S&P Global Ratings – the world's leading credit rating agency – has just partnered with Chainlink to bring Stablecoin Stability Assessments (SSA) on-chain.

• SSA is a system for assessing the stability of stablecoins (not a credit rating), scoring from 1 = very strong → 5 = weak, based on factors such as collateral assets, liquidity, governance, convertibility, and technological risks.

• SSA data is transmitted on-chain via Chainlink, allowing DeFi protocols and smart contracts to automatically use this information in risk management, stablecoin selection, or collateral asset limits.

• The initial deployment on Base (Coinbase's L2) will expand to other blockchains.

• Significance: Connecting traditional finance (TradFi) with DeFi, increasing transparency and trust.

• Note: SSA is not a credit rating, and its effectiveness depends on how it is updated, the security of oracle data, and how DeFi integrates it.

👉 A significant step bringing S&P into the on-chain world, helping traditional assessment standards reach the crypto market and increasingly reinforcing the position, reputation, and long-term growth potential of $LINK in the future.
