PANews reported on March 15 that according to the European Union Law Enforcement Cooperation Agency (Europol), German and US authorities have confiscated up to 44 million euros (46.3 million U.S. dollars) from the well-known cryptocurrency mixer ChipMixer. Europol said on Wednesday that the authorities shut down the platform's infrastructure and confiscated four servers, 7TB of data and 1,909.4 Bitcoins (BTC). Belgium, Poland and Switzerland also supported the seizure.

ChipMixer, a cryptocurrency mixer, allegedly allowed its customers to hide the traces of their criminal activities, such as drug or weapons trafficking, ransomware attacks, and payment fraud.
