Hello everyone, I am Yuan Ying. A few days ago, I finally paid off my online loans, which relieved me a lot, and I gained a lot of insights. I originally didn't intend to write about these messy things, but I still want to write it down, just to keep a record of my two years in the crypto world, a muddled journey of the heart. The following article is all personal experience, and it may be helpful to you.
I officially started investing in cryptocurrency in 2024. My initial contact with the crypto world originated from the dark web. When I first got out of the wall, I was curious about the external network and even more curious about the dark web. I searched online for a lot of information about the dark web, and eventually, I ended up on that mysterious and dangerous website. Because I logged in frequently, I was in the free country 【the largest Chinese forum on the dark web】, where there were many various tutorials and resources that were shared for free. I secretly saved them and sold them on Twitter. From receiving payments in RMB to later receiving payments from buyers all over the world in: USDT, BTC, USD, and I learned how to use Binance for payments and PayPal for cashing out. Later, I often browsed YouTube and gained a preliminary understanding of cryptocurrency. I then started trying to invest in BTC. Previously, while on YouTube, I often watched a blogger whose online name was 【志辉】. I felt this person was very down-to-earth and spoke quite genuinely. After watching his videos, I invested in two projects, and the final outcome was a disaster. He deleted the videos and did not admit it. In the end, I managed to get back my own money➕compensation through opening a box, which was lucky for me as a newcomer to the crypto world. Many people's first experience of being scammed usually results in them not getting any money back💰. Later, I understood that all the experiences, true feelings on the internet were just personas created by people to make money.
Later, I got into Twitter and started following various influencers, learning from the articles they posted. But at the same time, I also discovered that there were a lot of matrix accounts. Initially, I wanted to learn trading skills well, but those paid groups were either 4,000U or 5,000U. As an ordinary person, I couldn't afford it at all. The tutorials online were also pieced together and incomprehensible. So, I could only use the clumsiest way to dollar-cost average into BTC. The first time I made money was a few months before Trump's presidential election. I saw someone on Twitter saying that if Trump won, BTC would definitely surge. I started using my monthly salary to dollar-cost average, and sure enough, after Trump was elected, BTC soared from over 80,000 to over 90,000, finally breaking the 100,000 USD mark. I sold at 94,000, and I remember that I sold everything, making over 8,000 yuan. That was the first time I made money through cryptocurrency. I was very excited but also very conservative. I withdrew the funds, securing my profits.
Later, a KOL friend told me to dollar-cost average into BGB, and it would definitely surge later. At that time, BGB's price was 1.5U. I started investing a few thousand. Later, it surged rapidly, from 1.5 to 2 to 2.5 to 3, all the way up. At that time, the whole Twitter was discussing BGB, marking a highlight moment. I borrowed 20,000 from online lending and went all in on BGB. Later, when it reached 5, I sold all at once, directly making over 20,000, doubling my investment. I remember it peaked at 8.5U. I regretted selling so early. At that time, I was also sharing my trading experiences on Twitter, and a fan from Henan privately messaged me, wanting to follow me and learn from me sincerely. I started bringing him along to dollar-cost average BGB. Later, he felt that this model was too slow to make money, and he went off to play with dog coins. His family supported him and directly gave him 70,000 yuan to invest. He originally earned over 2,000 a month from his job. Once he started making quick money, his mindset changed. He no longer thought about steady profits but only wanted to make fast money. Meanwhile, I continued dollar-cost averaging into BGB every month, receiving free airdrops, staking, and new project activities. I converted all the airdrop tokens into BGB, ensuring profits without losses. This kind of life continued until the emergence of Trump coin. Because I was busy at work during the day, I sometimes missed news. My fan brother saw Trump’s coin announcement first. He messaged me on WeChat in the afternoon, asking if I bought Trump coin. I said I didn’t know. He told me where to buy it. At that time, the price I saw was already around 30U. He said he got in at just a few dollars, already making dozens of times profit. I felt quite uncomfortable; I would always notify him of good news first, but this time the train had already reached the peak before he told me. However, seeing the whole Twitter and group discussing Trump coin and the crazy surge in prices, I got caught up in it. I liquidated all my holdings.

went to buy Trump coin. Within just a few minutes, I made thousands, I was ecstatic. I still remember my face turning red, my heart racing. I went directly for 50x leverage, over 50,000 yuan, going all in long. I wanted to make a comeback, I wanted to get ashore, I damn wanted to be a rich person. This thought consumed my rationality, and at that time, I was at work when a customer came in. I was busy for a few minutes without setting stop-loss or take-profit. When I finished and checked my phone, Trump coin had dropped from 60 to 50, and I was liquidated. I had basically never opened a contract before, and then I got liquidated all at once, wiping out all my previous efforts. I can't describe my feelings at that moment; I was completely dazed, feeling like nothing mattered anymore. I had also bought an iPhone 16PM on installments for 9,999 yuan. I thought I was the chosen one, never failing, going smoothly all the way from BTC to BGB. I had never lost money, but when I got liquidated and borrowed online loans, I still had car loans and phone installments. I was so poor that I couldn't repay the loans. I went to borrow 200U from my fans to pay off the car loan; I was afraid of defaulting. As a result, he pretended to be broke. I had previously taken him to play BGB, and he doubled his money, making tens of thousands. I couldn't understand it; I genuinely considered him a brother, so why would he treat me like this? He would rather lose money in the market than lend me 200U to help me pay off my car loan. I borrowed from all my friends in the crypto circle, and no one lent me money. In the end, a KOL transferred me 150 yuan via WeChat. He said all his money was invested in coins and couldn't be sold, and he only had 150 in cash. I was very grateful, but I didn't accept the money. I appreciated the sentiment; in fact, I was borrowing a bit from other online lending platforms to cover this car loan. I just wanted to see when I really needed help from friends around me, who was sincere and who was just putting on a facade.
Later, this brother who lent me money taught me how to create an account and be a KOL, ensuring I could steadily run my account and earn commissions, preventing me from getting into trading again. I am very grateful.

Initially investing in BGB was also his suggestion. At first, I was teaching newcomers in the crypto circle basic operational methods, opening agencies, earning commissions, and slowly got to know more and more crypto friends through a friend. Meeting one friend led to another, and that’s how I gradually mingled in this Chinese-speaking area, including my good brother.

The Master has also helped me a lot. Her personality is very much like a strong woman, straightforward, and doesn't like to beat around the bush. She handles things with dignity. We met in a variety show group, and I showed her face reading; I probably hit the right spot, and the Master added me on WeChat. The first thing she said was, "You send a tweet, and I'll help you share it." At that time, I had just started my account, just a complete novice, not looking down on anyone at all. Of course, there are good people, and there are jerks; I won't name names here because the past grievances have been set aside.
I took a look, and in March 2025, I only had 1,000 fans. Now it's April 2026. Although I now have over 4,000, less than 5,000 fans, my insights are profound. During the most stressful times, I updated a YouTube video every two days just to gain more followers. Earn money and make a comeback sooner.
Here are some suggestions for everyone in the crypto circle:
One: Demystifying all the top influencers. First, I have also come into contact with some KOLs with a high number of fans. Their actions make it hard to evaluate them. They wear a glamorous exterior but do disgusting things. The number of fans is unrelated to personal quality and upbringing.
Two: Join other people's communities: talk less and observe more. The more you speak, the more mistakes you will make. In this world, besides your parents, no one truly cares about you. Sometimes when you share your experiences, profit, or advertising income, you will be met with jealousy, even attempts to sabotage you.
Three: Don't try to persuade or change others, and don't intervene in others' karma; otherwise, you will bear the consequences of others. Do your own thing well and don't meddle.
These days, in this circle, it’s all about results. One succeeds while countless bones lie beneath. If you succeed, no matter what bad things you did before, others will praise you. But before you succeed, no matter how good your character is, if you have no money, that's original sin. Most people will still look down on you, thinking you are garbage.
I was once a passionate youth, speaking up for the unfair things in the crypto circle, defending this and that. In the end, the person I helped stabbed me in the back. My respected elder would often tease me, treating me as a joke, repeatedly putting me in an awkward position in public live streams. That's not called friendship; they are just dogs raised by others. I won't establish WeChat groups or communities like this anymore. Many people are just lurking, grabbing red envelopes, and then talking behind your back. Such communities are meaningless.
Four: Don't borrow money to trade coins, don't lend money to trade coins. If you lose, you're just sending yourself into a meat grinder. Also, don't easily borrow money in the crypto circle 💰. When you are in trouble, you will find that friends and family will distance themselves from you, fearing that you will borrow money from them.
In my most difficult times, my Weex business,
@Weex996
Every time I borrowed from him, whether it was 30U or 50U, he would lend it to me, and I would repay him on time. We were both in difficulties, and I didn't borrow much. If I borrowed too much, I wouldn't be able to repay. However, I don't advocate borrowing money. He is like a ray of light I saw in this dark circle. Sometimes during holidays, he would send me red envelopes, which was particularly touching. The relationship between people is all about mutual resonance; that’s how you can go far.
Whether it's a good brother or encountering a jerk, everything is the best arrangement by heaven. From being a small retail investor to operating my own account with stable advertising income, community commissions, plus my trading profits, my life has changed significantly. I have my own job, a small family business, and online income, making my life quite comfortable. Although the internet is virtual, every user is a real person, [except for zombie accounts]. I still face every person I meet with sincerity. This year, I will pay more attention to my health. Last year, staying up late, anxiety, and excessive stress led to my current obesity, making me lack energy. I will also update more about my daily life.
Lastly, let me say: Thank you to the brothers and sisters who have accompanied me all the way and to the fans who support me. Let's keep moving forward together and all get better, achieving our own results ❤️
