The Spanish police have arrested a suspect in the kidnapping of Ledger co-founder David Balland in January 2025. According to NS3, the case involves an attempt to forcibly transfer approximately $11.5 million in Bitcoin. The police stated that the suspect fled to Spain after the attack and was detained in Benalmádena after weeks of pursuit. The Fuengirola court is currently processing an extradition request from France under the European Arrest Warrant system.
