It's not intellectually difficult to be a good trader but you must posses hard traits that Distinguishes you from the general public.
The thicker you become with your decisions, the better.
Now imagine the Market is roaring down with three big red bars ❗❗❗⬇️ and that puts fear into you and some sort of hope for a reverse, everything within you and the masses tell you to BUY it ⬆️
WAIT!! DONT BUY, JUST WAIT.
Always go for the option that counters the intuition of the public at all times.
That's a very difficult thing to do I know but that's the characteristic of a good trade.
You should not follow trends, I repeat, don't follow trends. The market is design to work against the masses and profit only the few who think differently.
